WfMC was established in August 1993, It is the most important international process standard organization in the software industry. The members of this non-profit organization come from across the globe and are venders that provide work process related solutions, users, analyst, colleges, and research institutions. The mission of WfMC is to increase the applications of work processes by defining software terminology, compatibility, and standards. BPMI , Business Process Management Initiative |
BPMI is another important non-profit BPM related international organization. Its major members include IT, business consultants, and the major software venders. BPMI focuses on the display of business process modules, Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), to show the complete business process in a perfect graphical format. Because BPMN is based on flowcharting technology, therefore, business users, business analysts, and IT programmers can also communicate clearly using the diagram, bring IT and business one step closer. This helps IT venders promote the use of BPM products and enterprise class BPM technology. |

WARIS was established in 1992 as a non-profit organization.
